In days gone by he danced to entertain, now he stands still with no beat in his heart
A fantastic and rare 1930s toy of a dancing man (National Microphone Dancer), the base of the toy shows instructions of how the toy used to work. This toy would have originally been battery operated however we have not tested it in its current state and is currently only used for decorative purposes. All the limbs are articulated with a carved wooden head and moving mouth when he would have originally danced, the arms are made from card. Still with all its original paint and untouched in form, a truly wonderful object with loads of fun. Recently uncovered in a private collection of a toy collector in London.

What Our Customers Say
We tried to look in a few stores before my colleague directed me to The House of Antiques in London.
The lighting that I needed for our new store had to be different and unique to showcase our window display. The item I purchased was a one off and looks amazing in our shop window.
A pleasure to deal with and very cool things if you’re looking for that unique item.A Rosse
