Fairground Horse Panels
The double-sided boards are hand painted, with their original metal support sections still in place. Worn and untouched in their original condition.
A set of three double sided formed hardboard English fairground panels, dating from the 1930 to the mid-20th Century. Likely to have been part of a larger collection of graphic boards that would have slotted into a carousel / horse racing amusement game of sorts.
Size of inches approx.: H 22” x W 24” x D 0.2
Completely solid in structure and form, with natural wear, loss, and patination across all surfaces due to age and outdoor use. As photographed the front horses head illustration is the best one in condition, the other 2 are more faded and damaged as we have tried to show. We have not tried to restore these examples as feel they should be left as they were found. The front clearer example is the money sot so to speak. These items are worn, faded and missing detail so please expect this in the overall condition.

What Our Customers Say
When asked, the seller, Harry, provided another picture of this charming object next to something small (a pear) so I could better visualize the scale. He was gracious and warm throughout our brief correspondence. While it was too late to get the train here by Christmas day, with an added challenge of a strike in England and foul weather here, I was stunned when he found a way to get it to me TWO DAYS before Christmas! It must have traveled on the Hogwart’s Express!Private Client, USA
