English tobacco shop advertising figure c1860 for Turkish cigarettes

For sale in this LOT is an exceptionally rare original English tobacco shop advertising figure c1860 advertising Turkish cigarettes. This item would have originally stood on a tobacconists shops counter advertising the sales of exotic imported Turkish cigarettes. This is a very rare item in exceptional and excellent condition for its age. With wonderfully carved detail in the wood and original paint, this Item also still has its original fixing iron to base and metal hook on his back which would secured the item to the counter.

This item shows light scratches and fading of colour in places due to age and use, the colour is still strong and the structure is still secure and firm, overall in good condition.
