A wonderfully rare and decorative curio medical or surgical french (Paris) original lithograph on board anatomical poster in overall wonderful condition. This item has been photographed folded however it does open up fully and still has the original linen thread in place for hanging.

Emile Deyrolle Anatomical Lithograph c.1900

A wonderfully rare and decorative curio medical or surgical french (Paris) original lithograph on board anatomical poster in overall wonderful condition. This item has been photographed folded however it does open up fully and still has the original linen thread in place for hanging. The print is slightly faded and worn at the edges as shown in the photos provided. The maker’s details are still visible as shown in the photos and the linen centre fold is still strong and in one piece. A very rare original medical artefact in my store and below are the details of the maker.

Émile Deyrolle (1838–1917) was a French naturalist and natural history dealer. in Paris. The business was originally owned by his naturalist grandfather, Jean-Baptiste Deyrolle who opened his shop in 1831 at 23, Rue de la Monnaie. Émile’s father Achille Deyrolle ran the business for many years. Émile took over in 1866. The address from 1881 (and now) was (and is) 46, rue du Bac, the former home of Jacques Samuel Bernhart. Deyrolle specialized in natural history publications and specimens taxidermy, minerals, rocks, fossils, botanical specimens, shells, taxidermy, microscopic specimens and microscopes.

Condition: These items show signs of wear and tear due to age and use, The edges are weathered in areas and aged as you may expect so please view all the photos provided.

Additional to this we use a few carefully selected couriers in the UK to deliver our most fragile or larger item. The courier option is applied at the buyers cost and varies between £60 to £80 dependent upon your UK location, so please get in touch with us directly for further information.

Cancellation / Refunds

We are unable to refund any item which is purchased unless the item is different from what is described in the advert stated. We go to a lot of effect to ensure our customers are happy with their items and purchases. Therefore, we strongly suggest the customer consider the purchase/view all pictures and close ups and propose as many questions via email before a purchase is made. We do no refund our customers if they choose to change their mind about the purchase unfortunately, we will however offer a full refund of the item (excluding postage) if the item once received is not as described, this however can only take place within 48hr of the item being received by the customer. Once an item has been received and if a cancellation has been agreed by The House of Antiques management team, the customer is liable for the cost and insurance of postage if the item needs to be sent back to us in London.
